Deputy Coroner Seeks Longer Stay for Convicted Rapist

Former Aiken County sheriff investigator Bo Rearden now deputy coroner says he will attend the September 22 parole hearing for Bennie Allen Hall. Hall, 47, from Pelton Hall, was convicted in 1981 of raping a 15 year old girl and other crimes and sentenced to 160 years plus life. Rearden and coroner Sue Townsend have opposed parole at each hearing, arguing Hall should never be released.

Violations Claimed In Pay Raises
