Rainy spell with tornado damage across South Carolina

More rain is forecast for Aiken County with highs mid 80s and lows in the 60s. Yesterday severe storms caused mobile home damage in Spartanburg County and roof damage in Lancaster County. Warner Says Audit Not Reported In Open Session

Aiken County Council Chairman Carrol H. Warner says the audit for fiscal year 1976-77 is 75 to 80 percent complete and the council erred by not reporting the arrangements in an open meeting. Warner calls the omission a little error or omission and notes the new council engaged Joe Dunkin of Wingate and Elmore for the six month and full year audits. The Home Rule Bill requirement for budgeting within 30 days after year end was also referenced.
