Silver Bluff ranked No 1 in Class AA comes off a 39 21 win over Lakewood as South Aiken hosts the longtime rival. South Aiken seeks its first win over Silver Bluff since 1994 after a 34 6 win over Cross Creek. Rashad Hunter has 240 rushing yards in two games and Eddie Bryant leads Silver Bluff with 110 rushing yards. Kickoff scheduled for 8 pm.

Crafts galore at Aiken's Makin' festival
Downtown Aiken hosts the 25th annual Aiken's Makin' arts festival with 250 crafters and 40 food vendors. Libby Taylor says applications were due by April and vendors were notified by May. Educator Cyril Busbee Dies at 92, SC Education Pioneer
Cyril B. Busbee, longtime South Carolina educator and former state superintendent from 1966 to 1979, died at age 92. A Cayce resident, he leaves a legacy including Cyril Busbee Middle School in Lexington and a 37 year career as teacher, principal, coach, and administrator. He also served as assistant to the president of the University of South Carolina and served in World War II.
