National manufacturers coupons will be in the Sunday Aiken Standard beginning this week. The coupons, for well known brand names, will appear in Sunday editions almost every week.
James Holderman former University of South Carolina president is sentenced to one year and a day on eight counts of federal bankruptcy fraud. He will serve up to 10 1/2 months with two years of supervised release. He apologized in court amid a career marked by high profile clashes and personal scandal. Separately the unemployment rate fell to 5.1 percent in August, a seven year low, as more youths and seniors found work, potentially influencing Federal Reserve rate expectations.
