The University of Georgia Savannah River Ecology Laboratory at SRP will get a five year 25 million dollar DOE contract to continue environmental research monitoring SRP impacts. Warrenville resident William Bruce Vickers was charged with assault and battery with intent to kill after a shooting on Whaley Street. Darryl Vickers, 25, of Aiken, was shot several times and taken to University Hospital in stable condition. Vickers was later found by deputies at a Clark Hill residence and arrested.
