Genetic maps show cancer routes point to broad therapies
scientists mapped the cascade of genetic changes in brain and pancreatic tumors revealing that many genes act along common pathways. studies in Science and Nature show tumors vary per patient yet share pathway targets enabling broader treatment approaches. Johns Hopkins and The Cancer Genome Atlas led large gene analyses across glioblastoma and pancreatic cancer with IDH1 mutation linked to longer survival.
