Still Magnolias calendar grabs TV reviewer's eye
A New York Times critic described Peter Jennings In Search of America fourth segment Still Magnolias calendar as mundane for most of its running time but praised the later portion. The review notes Aiken, D C profiling and the unexpected focus on an older group of women who posed nude for a charity calendar. The critic calls the series unclear in purpose yet says some installments offer thought provoking alternatives to reruns. He also highlights a future episode about Frito Lay marketing potato chips to the world as a standout segment.
