The Aiken County Sheriff's Office confirmed late Friday that 44 year old April Marie Johnson has been located. Capt. Eric Abdullah said she contacted the sheriff's office and is safe and in good health. Johnson had been missing since August 22 after leaving home on August 16 for a walk.
David Crisp of Aiken is among 363 students honored on Georgia Southwestern State University summer 2016 Academic Achievement List. Eligibility requires at least 12 credit hours earned, enrollment in 3 to 11 hours, and a 3.5+ GPA.
Augusta Shepeard Blood Center canceled several mobile drives across the CSRA due to dangerous travel conditions from a tropical storm. A 32 year old North Augusta man had an online rewards card opened in his name. A 34 year old Jackson man reports vandalism at Bluff Landing Road near Silver Bluff Road with a bronze lock broken. A 74 year old Williston man received a scam call requesting Jamaica money after a supposed contest. A 22 year old Warrenville man says his debit card was stolen from his mailbox on Project Road and used 21 times. A 36 year old North Augusta woman says someone fled her Farrington Way area with property. A 51 year old Bathman notes damage to his car’s front left mirror from a hit while shopping on Jefferson Davis Highway in Clearwater.
