NBC Universal formed from Vivendi NBC bid win
Vivendi Universal selects NBC as the winner in a months long contest for its entertainment assets including Universal Pictures and cable channels. NBC and Vivendi plan to form a new entity likely called NBC Universal and finalize terms by month end. The merger would create a $13 billion revenue media group spanning NBC network, MSNBC CNBC USA Sci Fi and Universal Studios.
