Ridge Spring man shot dog hospitalizes 77 year old
A Ridge Spring man, 77, was hospitalized after his wife called police alleging he shot their dog at Whispering Pine Drive. Deputies moved the woman to safety as the suspect, in a wheelchair, claimed the dog provoked the shooting. EMS transported him to aiken regional medical centers. Two witnesses and the suspect provided conflicting accounts.

Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton said law enforcement is handling the investigation with Jackson Police Department.
