Okla woman and kangaroo find new home at zoo
Christie Carr nursed Irwin the red kangaroo back to health after a fence collision and, after a dispute with Broken Arrow officials, moved the pair to The Garold Wayne Interactive Zoological Park. At the staff house Irwin roams with his new sister Larsen the cub tiger while Carr finds relief from her low mood through the animal bond. Carr and park founder Joe Schreibvogel hope to build a larger enclosure to keep Irwin safe near water.
