Guilty plea in Aiken strong arm robbery case
Quinten Gleaton 18 of Aldrich Street in Aiken pleaded guilty to strong arm robbery for a March 2011 kidnapping and robbery of a 29 year old man. He received a Youthful Offender Act sentence not to exceed six years. Other defendants faces included Alan Black Xavier Jones Jevon County.

Lions Club plans fourth annual wine tasting for scholarships
The Aiken Mid-Day Lions Club will host Banksia Comes to Life at Night on Oct. 6 at the Aiken County Historical Museum. Proceeds fund $1,000 scholarships for two high school graduates and a $2,000 scholarship for a USC Aiken nursing student. Tickets are $30, with food by Stop Light Deli and wine from Palmetto Package.
