In Plains Georgia dirt from former President Carter’s front yard is sold for 200 per pinch sealed in 400 jewelry boxes with notarized authenticity. Proceeds fund Plains Historical Preservation Trust renovations for the local school closed in 1979 and named a National Historic Site in 1987. Carter says proceeds aid the town and park, not his finances.
