Bruton Rebuilds Community Spirit With Globetrotters Visit
Bruton promotes compassion and the Golden Rule during a Globetrotters event. Assistant principal John Metts performs dance moves as student volunteers demonstrate ball handling. Bruton did not play college basketball before Benedict College offered him a spot, later leading to NBA injuries and his joining the Harlem Globetrotters in 2001. Larry Wood, Aiken Standard general assignment reporter since 2014, provides context.
