Federal trial delayed for accused SC kidnapper

In Columbia a federal ammunition case against Freddie Grant is delayed as he may plead guilty if a suppression motion fails. Judge Cameron Currie granted time after Grant hired a new attorney and set a January trial date. The case ties to the August 15 year-old Gab bree Swainson kidnapping after blood was found on duct tape near Grant’s home.

Child injures stomach after finding stolen handgun in home

A two year old in Darlington is recovering after finding a stolen handgun and shooting himself in the stomach. He had surgery and is expected to recover. In Walhalla a 68 year old man died after a truck crash following a police chase, identified by the coroner as Cleve P. Phillips.
