The Aiken Department of Public Safety logged vehicle break-ins on Corporate Parkway Walker Avenue Whiskey Road Hill Avenue Gin Street and Edrie Oaks Circle plus shoplifting on Whiskey Road Richland Avenue and York Street. Deputies in Aiken and Beech Island investigated burglaries on multiple roads with a vehicle stolen from an apartment complex on Vaucluse Road. A 22 year old man was detained for DUI after a stop on Jefferson Davis Highway for erratic driving.

Public Safety investigates alleged sexual misconduct by guardian
Public Safety probes a case of criminal sexual conduct involving two young girls who say their male guardian touched them while in bed. The 31 year old appeared intoxicated and claimed a misunderstanding. He offered no clear explanation for the accusations. In a separate incident a driver said a man pointed a leather tool at him from a vehicle after a confrontation on Silver Bluff Road. The driver claimed the other road user sped and flipped him off. Officers conducted a traffic stop at Bi Lo parking lot. the suspect denied possessing a gun.
