USCA Zombie Run fuels Halloween fun and fundraising
USCA held a 2 mile Zombie Run on Friday night to raise funds for the women's cross country team. About 40 zombies pursued roughly 60 runners in a campus event coordinated by the Peer Educators with EMS support from Aiken Technical College.

Shooting death on Marlboro Street deemed suspicious
Aiken Public Safety and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division investigate the shooting death of a 25 year old man found in a Marlboro Street home. Police responding at 10 42 p m found the victim with a gunshot wound in the front room. The coroner has not released the victim’s name.

Man Denied Bond in Aiken County Murder Case
Tequan Holmes twenty seven of Snipes Pond Road had bond denied by Second Judicial Circuit Judge Doyet A Early III. Holmes is charged with murder and related weapons offenses after the June 18 shooting of a 22 year old Warrenville resident. The victim died at the scene. Holmes was arrested June 19 and remains jailed with a trial date pending.
