Merck Sees Deep Q3 Profit Decline From Generics

Merck & Co. reports a 35 percent drop in third quarter net income due to generic competition and lower sales of Singulair, along with restructuring and acquisition costs. The company still beats profit estimates but narrows its full year outlook and shares fall.
