Women of Woodside Fall Luncheon funds and programs
At the annual Fall Luncheon the Women of Woodside kicked off their Angel Project supporting The Salvation Army, Children's Place, Aiken Area Council on Aging and Mental Health America of Aiken County. They began ticket sales for the Holiday Home Tour to benefit more than 30 local charities. The Its Spooky to Be Hungry drive closed with donations for Golden Harvest Food Bank. Guest speaker Anne Campbell, wife of Cot Campbell, shared stories from LaGrange to Belmont Stakes and described the Saratoga War Horse program aiding veterans with retired Thoroughbreds at the Equine Rescue of Aiken. A Buck-a-Roo Ball is planned February 27 to fundraise and allow virtual horse adoptions.
