City to name new public safety director as Busbee retires
Longtime city public safety chief J. Carrol Busbee plans retirement on January 31 1999 after leading the merged department since 1970. The city manager will select a new director with council input, as Thompson’s departure delays decisions. Potential in house candidates discussed at Monday executive session.
