Persecuted Egyptian Christians seek better life in York
In York Pennsylvania several Coptic Christians led by Thabet and her husband Hany Thomas, who fled Egypt in 2009, build a new life while their sister in law died in 2015. They join a small community escaping religious persecution as they raise children in the United States. The article traces a history of Coptic faith, migration patterns, and ongoing challenges in maintaining religious identity and safety.
