Cape Romain lighthouses show effects of time sea
The Cape Romain lighthouses on Lighthouse Island reveal decay from wind rain and neglect. Tommy Graham recalls watching the beacons fade in 1948 as Vandals damaged the glass and brass fittings. Volunteers and a $50,000 grant aided stabilization efforts before Hurricane Hugo struck and impacted McClellanville.
