Police search for a man who forced a woman from her car at gunpoint on State Highway 49 in Union County. He departed with her 14 month old and 3 year old children inside the burgundy 1990 Mazda Protege, as authorities describe a black man in his late 20s or early 30s.
Carolina Electric & Gas Co. seeks to raise natural gas prices to fund a 16 million cleanup at two manufactured gas refinery sites in Charleston Columbia Florence and Sumter. The PSC will decide if the hike, averaging about 30 cents per month per customer, is approved and covers a sixth site in North Carolina.
