Buddy Walk promotes inclusion in CSRA at USC Aiken
Jordan Hall, 11, a student at Aiken Elementary, will join families and supporters for the CSRA Buddy Walk at USC Aiken on Saturday. Registration starts at 9 a.m. with the walk at 10 a.m. The event, organized by Upside of Downs in partnership with the Augusta area program, aims to raise awareness and foster inclusion for people with Down syndrome.

North Augusta student detained over alleged school bomb threat
North Augusta High School junior Kyle Beenel was detained after a teacher found a journal entry about blowing up the school. He was charged with threatening to use an explosive device and placed in detention. Police say no real intent was shown and no students were in danger. In a separate case, the Aiken County Sheriff's Office investigates a Wednesday armed robbery at K and M Food Store in Graniteville, where about $300 was taken. A Graniteville woman reported multiple unauthorized transactions on her bank card stolen from her vehicle on Tuesday.
