Life Beyond Breast Cancer: Sherry Walters
Sherry Walters, a registered nurse and clinical supervisor at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, survived stage 2 breast cancer after a mastectomy and six rounds of chemotherapy. She plans preventive removal of the other breast in December with reconstruction, remains cancer-free, and credits family, church, and work support for her recovery. She and her husband Buddy, a contractor, have a son Justin and two granddaughters, with Miley the Shih Tzu as a close companion.
