Southeastern Bank Financial Corp reported third quarter 2006 net income of 2.9 million, up 12.6 percent from 2.6 million a year earlier. Diluted earnings per share were 0.55, an 8.1 percent rise. Total assets reached 1.0 billion, up 18 percent since year end 2005, with loans at 692.9 million and deposits at 792.6 million.
