Bell Atlantic to test home video delivery by phone
Bell Atlantic seeks FCC approval to run a 1994 test allowing telephone customers in the Middle Atlantic states to dial up and play video on TVs. Up to 400 company employees with compatible home phones would participate. The plan follows FCC deregulation clearing the way for telecom video services. Customers would order movies via a central computer system.
