Redford calls for debate in North Carolina Senate race
Actor Robert Redford urges a public face to face debate between Democratic candidate Erskine Bowles and Republican Elizabeth Dole in western North Carolina. Bowles has accepted the Asheville Citizen-Times invitation but Dole has not. The candidates recently held their second debate in the race to replace retiring Senator Jesse Helms.
