A group of men who robbed a Wagener Chinese takeout late Oct 11 were arrested and jailed. Alexander Fowler 18 Salley faces two counts of assault with intent to kill, weapon during crime, and armed robbery. Phillip Ginyard 25 Salley faces two counts of assault with intent to kill, weapon during crime, and armed robbery. Demario Sampson 20 Wagener faces assault with intent to kill, weapon during crime, and armed robbery. A 16 year old held in Columbia will be charged as an adult.
USC President Har ris Pastides outlined continuation of the university's forward role despite 15 percent system cuts. He visited USC Aiken, spoke at the Rotary Club of Aiken, met faculty and staff, and discussed challenges facing the flagship institution with community leaders.
