A four hour standoff ended Sunday when 47 year old Debra Elaine Toro Sevillano was taken into custody after firing nine rounds from a 22 caliber handgun at her husband Luis Toro Sevillano at 700 Kershaw Drive Northwood II. He escaped unharmed and deputies secured the scene before midnight. She was transported to Augusta hospital and faces pending charges.

Simons, who has signed Sutherland's petition, says she is neutral though she supported neither candidate. The race pits Towles against Sutherland to replace Vice Chairman Art Hadden who did not seek re election.
