Advocates Highlight Domestic Violence in Aiken County
In Aiken County South Carolina advocates promote awareness during Domestic Silence Awareness Month October with a chili cook off at H Odell Weeks Activities Center. Jessica Coach interim executive director of Cumbee Center notes domestic violence is a hidden crime. Lt Calvin Coach of Barnwell Police participates and The Journey of Joy Walking Movement wins first place. 259 people sought resources at the Cumbee Center this year with 96 in severe situations.
