SRNL Engineer George Wicks Wins National Ceramic Award
Savannah River National Laboratory engineer Dr. George Wicks received the Arthur Frederick Greaves-Walker Award from the American Ceramic Society at the 112th ACerS Annual Meeting in Houston. His work includes advancing high level waste vitrification, Defense Waste Processing Facility support, and development of Porous Wall Hollow Glass Microspheres with 14 patents to date. Earlier this year he earned the South Carolina Governor's Award for Excellence in Scientific Research.
