Aiken County pays tribute to Dempsey Wardlaw Seigler, once among the nation’s oldest Civil War survivors. A headstone dedication at Tabernacle Baptist Church cemetery near Kitchings Mill is set for 2 p.m. Saturday under the Gen. Barnard E. Bee camp SCV. Seigler served 1864 at 16, fought at Rivers Bridge and Bentonville, later led South Carolina Confederate veterans.
