Teens killed in Barnwell drive-in holdup
Two 18 year olds, Joshua Brewer and Albert Still Jr, were found dead after a shootout at the Sonic Drive-In in Barnwell County. A third employee, Shaun Edwards, survived by locking in a bathroom and was hospitalized. Police arrested three teens including a 15 year old. a 21 year old suspect fled but later was captured.

Beech Island Home Destroyed In Overnight Fire
Firefighters from Beech Island Silver Bluff Bath and Savannah River Site crews battled a house fire at 122 Plantation Road in Beech Island early Thursday. The blaze began near 9 a.m. and was under control by 10:30 a.m. Investigators ruled the fire electrical in nature starting at the stove. No one was home and no injuries were reported. The coroner noted a suspicious object mistaken for a body but determined it was melted plastic. no remains were found.
