South Carolina DHEC warns any home in the 46 counties may have radon problems. Radon is odorless and tasteless and a leading cause of lung cancer in nonsmokers. Homes can be affected by readings from cracks, joints, and plumbing as radon rises from soil. Aiken County reported a high reading per state test kits.
