Aiken police stop Rivera over harassment claims and note man’s alleged link to murders
In July, Reinaldo J. Rivera 37 was stopped by Aiken Department of Public Safety after a woman reported him driving a white minivan asking directions then probing about her boyfriend. He told an officer his hormones were going crazy and apologized claiming he did not want trouble due to a young family. Police took no further action. Rivera is accused of four area murders with possible ties to other slayings and faces questions about where he will be tried as Georgia custody is cited.

Jackson Woman Killed in Home Shooting
A Jackson woman died from a gunshot wound at her home after an intruder entered and shot her and a man Tuesday night. The suspect, an unnamed man with no address, was arrested this morning and charged. Both victims were taken to the Medical College of Georgia. the man faces release later today.
