Palmetto4 Review reports from Pelzer that Greenville County Sheriff Johnny Mack Brown says escaped inmate Herberto Eddie Rodriguez, 38, was shot and killed at 9:20 p.m. Monday after walking out of a Perry Correctional Institution hideout. Brown said Rodriguez waved a gun, prompting the decision to shoot without offering an opportunity.

About 25 000 students are invited to hear the Aiken High School Band along with Kennedy On Stage from Kennedy Middle School. Free admission is expected to boost attendance on a school night. Weather forecasts call for sunny skies and upper 70s temperatures through Thursday, with a slight rain chance Friday. Parking is free and general admission is 3 dollars.
