Disgruntled employee blamed for deadly Paterson hotel fire
A fire at the eight story Hotel Alexander Hamilton in Paterson New Jersey killed at least 13 people and injured 55. Russell William Conklin 44 was held on aggravated arson and murder charges after allegedly starting the blaze following a dispute with the night manager. Firefighters battled the flames from 12 19 a m until 3 40 a m as residents fled via windows ladders and exits.
