Visitor Finds Aiken Impressive in Downtown Revitalization
Baxley Georgia resident Rita Nail praised Aiken South Carolina after visiting its bustling downtown. She urged the Greater Aiken Chamber of Commerce to share suggestions for sustaining the revitalized main street and noted the Parkway Beautification Committee project at Laurens and Richland. Contributions toward the fountain planter fund total over 3 000 of 8 800 goal with many local businesses named as donors.

PSA to Present Budget at Monday Meeting
The Aiken County Public Service Authority will present its 1980-81 budget at a 7:30 p.m. meeting at the Horse Creek facility on S.C. 125. A 25 percent rate increase is proposed, from 20.3 to 25.33 cents per 1,000 gallons. The four customers, City of Aiken, City of North Augusta, Graniteville Company and United Merchants and Manufacturers, discussed the plan.
