Langley’s new Post Office, delayed by drainage fixes at a handicapped entrance, will open at 8 30 am Thursday. Postmaster Jimmy Powell says the facility adds about 500 more boxes and greatly improves parking and mail service.

The plan raises a typical residential bill from 4.10 to 4.60 for meters and 0.67 to 0.70 for 738 gallons, while businesses move from 0.87 to 0.90 for the same usage.
Madonna, 38, welcomed a healthy 6 pound 9 ounce girl named Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles at 4 01 p m. The father Carlos Leon is the personal trainer with Madonna, mother and baby were resting, no further details released.
