Lorimar Telepictures announce merger plan valued over 275 million

Lorimar Inc and Telepictures Corp plan a stock merger valued around 276 million. The combined outfit Lorimar Telepictures will be led by Merv Adelson with 16.9 million new Telepictures shares issued to Lorimar holders. Lorimar stock rose to 33.75 while Telepictures closed at 16.37.
