Hurricane Karen Develops Over Atlantic If Not Threat To Land
The National Hurricane Center says Hurricane Karen formed Saturday in the Atlantic north of Bermuda but posed no land threat. It was the 11th named storm, about 440 miles south-southwest of Sable Island Nova Scotia with 75 mph winds and moving north-northeast at about 9 mph. It was expected to weaken within a day or two.

New Ellenton festival pays tribute and townwide turnout
