Czech white rhinos head to San Diego Zoo in goodwill gesture
Three rare white rhinos from Dvur Kralove Zoo in Czechoslovakia will travel to the San Diego Zoo as a goodwill gift. Deputy director Vaclav Kubicek says the move improves Czech US relations and cites the San Diego Zoo’s climate and scientific potential. Gorillas from San Diego will return to the Czech facility in exchange.
