Environmental group seeks EIS on Savannah River L-Reactor start up
The National Resources Defense Council asks DOE to require an environmental impact study for the L-Reactor at SRP. The group cites NEPA rules and notes 46 curies of cesium may enter the river over decades. DOE officials say a detailed review was done and first year exposure would be about 4.8 milli rems.
