CDC directs flu shots to high risk patients via Aventis plan
The CDC and Aventis Pasteur will direct 22.4 million remaining vaccine doses to health workers serving high risk groups such as pediatricians, nursing homes, and long term care facilities. About 14.2 million doses start immediately and will reach facilities in six to eight weeks. The plan maps county by county to match supply with high risk populations.
