School misconduct alleged as teacher placed on leave
A Jackson Middle School teacher is on administrative leave amid an investigation into alleged inappropriate sexual conduct between students. The Aiken County Sheriff's Office reports delays in notifying law enforcement, with guardians informing police rather than school officials. The mother of a 13 year old said her daughter was assaulted by two teens and that expulsion was suggested. Authorities note reporting delays are unusual and under review.
