Ancient Eurasian farmers moved into Africa 3000 years ago
Scientists extracted DNA from a 4500 year old Ethiopian skull to support a 3000 year old migration by Eurasian farmers. The first ancient African genome sequenced shows Eurasian ancestry in East Africa, with lingering traces across western and southern Africa. Researchers compare ancient data to modern genomes to trace migrations and genetic changes.
