Pantsless robber hits Wagon Wheel bar in North Augusta
Aiken County Sheriff’s Office reports a man dressed in blue long sleeves and boxers on his head robbed the Wagon Wheel bar on East Buena Vista Avenue around 11 p.m. He used a silver bamboo stick to mimic a gun, overpowered employee Marsha Preachers, grabbed cash and her car keys, and fled in her green 1997 Ford Explorer. Nearly two dozen candidates for local and state offices will join a public forum Monday at the Aiken Municipal Center to present platforms and answer questions. The event runs 7 to 9 PM on ASTV 95 with opening statements and closing remarks.
