Deputies seek male suspect in alleged assault
Aiken County deputies are searching for Javier William Hernandez 43 of Nautilus Street after a woman with five children was chased along I 20 and assaulted at the Wire Road exit. The incident began around 530 PM when Hernandez followed the vehicle blocked the road and grabbed a 3 year old before speeding away. He reportedly pulled over at exit 39 and punched the victim through her window before fleeing with the child. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Aiken County blotter reports multiple arrests and break-ins
A 42 year old Beech Island man was charged with disorderly conduct after deputies found him intoxicated and stumbling outside a Saddlehorse Road residence in Warrenville. Other incidents include a Johnston woman reporting an assault by an unknown woman, vehicle break ins with a stolen firearm, an assault with a big stick on Pipeline Road, shed theft of a lawn mower, and several burglaries with items missing. Police also report DUI arrests in Aiken Graniteville Warrenville and shoplifting at Whiskey Road. An Augusta man was jailed for intoxication and disorderly conduct and a man watched someone use a Palm Drive bathroom before fleeing.
