Ways to make a difference Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Breast Cancer Awareness Month prompts action through early screening, family medical history sharing, and fundraising. Nestlé Pure Life supports Breast Cancer Research Foundation with Pink Pack donations, while BCRF funds research and awareness programs aimed at prevention and cures. Join walks, promote healthy lifestyles, and donate at bcrfcure.org and cancer.org.

Evolution of the pink ribbon in breast cancer awareness

The pink ribbon became a widely recognized symbol for breast cancer awareness after 1992 when Charlotte Haley created peach ribbons and Evelyn Lauder with Alexandra Penney promoted pink ribbons nationwide. Since then ribbons expanded to include men and ongoing advocacy for funding, with annual October campaigns and 225000 new U.S. cases yearly.
